  1. Yes! This! I REALLY struggle to connect with oracle decks, mostly for the reasons you stated. So many of them seem so fluffy and cheesy. But there have been some lovely indie oracles put out there recently and I am finding I am much more drawn to these. I have both oracles in your shop on my wish list. Thank you for this lovely post.

I love your perspective and way of using the oracle cards to augment a tarot reading!

Not sure if this has crossed your path … a teacher over here in the US has run “Inner Alchemy Cards” sessions, an online offering where in a two week period we work on creating one deck of 28 cards for each of the elements. (Can You Buy Xanax Vietnam) She has guest contributors and that collective comes up with the “words” for each deck, but as a participant you create your own card responding to that prompt. It has been an incredibly powerful and insightful process. I have three decks created (Earth, Air & Water) with the more recent decks being made from my own drawings/paintings.

I believe this series is winding down and next she will tackling creating a Tarot deck next. That seems daunting to me! But as making the alchemy cards helped me sink deeper into my own process of reading/interpreting archetypal trends and stories within my life, I can only imagine how creating a tarot deck would immerse one into a really rich and full relationship with the tarot.

Oh, the Mirrors of the Heart Deck and Earthbound Oracle really speak to me!

  3. Because of this column I’ve ended up ordering Earthbound Oracle (although to be fair I was already on the fence, like above, and needed the extra push). Thanks for the enabling…

Hi! I absolutely love this post. I feel like oracle decks really help me personnaly to go beyond my usual readings and get answers to questions I normally wouldn’t even ask.

I was just wordering where you got Dori Midnight’s Dirty Tarot. I’ve been looking around on the internet for a bit but I can’t seem to find any place where I can buy it.

  5. Awesome article! 🙂

I love the Original Angel Cards. I’m not really very into angels, but I also had a group leader (back at summer camp a gazillion years ago) who used drawing a daily card as a way to give a group purpose, and they really grew on me. The illustrations are cutesy but also kind of charming, and they’re a great exercise in thinking about ways to apply positive qualities that are not always as obvious as one might like to their life.

This is a really interesting article. I want to get in to Tarot but haven’t yet because the art on the cards visually can really put me off – so I took the plunge with an oracle deck instead. I love the feel (Buy Discount Xanax is the one I have) of it but I’m still having learning to interpret things – some cards come easily and others are super hard to work out what they’re trying to say 🙂
