On Saturday - November 1st, my friend and I are hosting a samhain/halloween feast. Friends will gather to eat and drink and feel warm together as the nights draw in, as winter envelops us. Samhain traditionally marks the pagan new year - or at least, the end of summer and the beginning of winter. It's a time when 'the veil between this world and 'the other' is thin and we are closer to the dead than we usually feel. And we're going to honour our ancestors. Here's what we'll do at our feast.
